1.The Social Distancing Badge
An Arduino based LiDAR badge that measures and displays the distance between you and other objects.
The Social Distancing Badge does what it would say on the tin if it shipped in one. It quite simply displays the current distance to the closest target in front of it, on an easy to read display. The badge gets its measurements with millimeter precision, using an eye-safe Laser based LiDAR sensor as seen on our MappyDots. This readout gives others the confidence necessary to maintain the correct distance from you during these uncertain times.
"How can I stop someone looking right over my shoulder while I load my miscellanea onto the checkout? Why do these nosy people need to see I'm buying 15 tins of cat food, a cucumber and a packet of fruit chews all while I can feel the moistness of their halitosis?"
While hibernating inside these last few weeks, our friends have shared their stories of woe about being out at the supermarket gathering essentials and having people standing way too close. So close that they can feel them breathing down their neck while they wait in line to be served. As a joke, we whipped together a prototype distance measurement badge that could be worn, to warn others of their impending closeness.
Design
Now even though the prototype was a bit clunky, it clearly had some potential if it wasn't so heavy. So we decided to put together a lightweight and low power design that could be pinned to your bag, backpack, shirt or even be used as a belt buckle or hair clip. You could even just use it as a handy standalone distance measurement tool that would fit in a wallet with very stretched pockets.
The hardware design is complete and we have the design prototype's circuit boards currently out for manufacture. We will be showing the assembled design off during a mid campaign update, so be sure to follow along.

Our motivation for creating the QooPow™ qualMeter was from the observation that there are too many low quality and compromised charging products in the market, especially 3rd-party charging cables and chargers. ATOS is a laser cut and handmade sofa arm table with a mobile and tablet stand.
It's made of poplar plywood and felt. The thickness of the plywood is 6 mm and the felt on the bottom is 1 mm.
You can also use ATOS on the couch sitting as a little side table or as a tray by folding over itself.
The flexible couch armrest tray dimensions are 381x254 mm / 15" x 10". The central part is 127 mm / 5" wide.
